2018 Teaching Skills Competition (the Competition) held at School of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SACE)
27th Jun | The Competition of SACE held at Zengchengkui Building, which was the qualification trials of the 13th Teaching Skills Competition of Xiamen University. The Competition was hosted by Ms. Yinghui Wang, Deputy Party Secretary of SACE, and Chairman of the Labour Union of SACE. The judging panel was composed of Prof. Hongmei Hu, who is the leader of the judging panel, A/Prof. Lixin Li, Prof. Dongdong Wang, Prof. Lin Luo, Prof. Shide Ling, A/Prof. Hongliu Tang, A/Prof. Zhe Yang, A/Prof. Xinye Wu, Engineer Mr. Yuehua Lin, and a student from department of Urban Planning, Miss Jiaqing Fang.
The competition topics contained the figure-ground theory of urban design, the local public infrastructures and services, the construction, planting design, GIS, campus planning and design, the influences of enclosed neighbourhoods on cities, sustainable heritage conservation of traditional residences and so on. After the evaluation and vote by the judging panel, Dr. Wei Chang, Dr. Shanshan Yu won the first prize, Dr. Zhiye Li, Dr. Jie Han, A/Prof. Yuan Li won the second prize, and Prof. Shijian Hong, Dr. Xiaoru Lin, Dr. Liangliang Wang won the third prize.
